Procedures of Application for Scholarships(Privately-Financed Students)

flow_english.jpg

Several organizations, including local governments, private associations and companies, as well as the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), offer scholarships for privately-financed international students.
At the University, registration is required to apply for the scholarships. In principle, registrations will be accepted in April (or in October for enrollments in the second semester) at your faculty. Please note that MEXT Scholarship Students, foreign government dispatch students and exchange students are not eligible for these scholarships.
After registration, students will be ranked based on their academic records, and candidates at the top of the list will be recommended to the provider of scholarship through the university.
There are some other scholarships that can be applied without the university. Please check the information on a bulletin board at your faculty.
