Schooling Period in the Second Semester of 2020

[20.09.07]

Dear Students and Parents

Executive Vice - President for Education

Schooling Period in the Second Semester of 2020

To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, many classes were conducted remotely in the first semester of this year.

As a result, there were very few opportunities for students to visit our campus.

In the second semester, I would like everyone (especially first year undergraduate students) to spend more time at university, have face-to-face classes and interactions with other students.

Therefore, we will take adequate infection control measures and will have a "schooling period" during the second semester as follows:

The schooling period will consist of two weeks in the first half and two weeks in the second half of the semester.

For first-year undergraduate students, the first half of the program will be from Thursday, October 1 to Wednesday, October 14, and the second half will be from Thursday, December 3 to Wednesday, December 16.

Other schooling periods will be announced when we've decided.

During the schooling period, we plan to have face-to-face classes, seminar activities, and other activities that enable direct teaching and guidance from faculty members, as well as exchange between students.

We will make a final decision two weeks before the schooling period based on the future status of the new coronavirus infection.

However, even after the decision, it may be abruptly cancelled if anyone gets infected with coronavirus in the University or if the situation in the prefecture becomes worse.
