Student Exchange Program （Inbound）
Kagoshima University accepts exchange students as Special Auditors or Special Research Students from MoU partner universities for 6 months (one semester) or one year (two semesters) in April (Spring semester) and October(Fall semester).
Special Auditors（Undergraduate/Postgraduate）: Exchange students who attend classes in order to earn credits.
Special Research Students (Postgraduate only): Exchange students who conduct research under the guidance of a faculty academic advisor without taking classes. They are not able to earn any credits during the exchange period, but they are allowed to audit classes with the permission of the professor in charge.
Special Auditors and Special Research Students can take Japanese Language and Culture Classes for International Students. (Study Japan Program)
Students should consult their home universities regarding credit transfer.
The number of exchange students can be accepted are within the agreed number as written on our student exchange agreement.
e.g.）If the accepted number in the agreement is 3（*3 students can be accepted at the same time.）

University-wide Student Exchange Program:
Kagoshima University will send application information to the partner universities via email around July (Spring Semester) and February (Fall Semester). Students at one of KU partner universities who are interested in studying at KU should contact their home university exchange program coordinator for more details on the nomination and application process.
