Q. Who can participate in the Homecoming Day? (Can I bring my friends or family?)
A. The event is open to current and former international students, current and former faculty and staff members of Kagoshima University. We regret that people who do not fall into these categories cannot attend. However, representatives from partner companies and Kagoshima University Friendship Ambassadors are welcome to participate.

Q. Is advance registration required?
A. Yes. Advance registration is required so that we can prepare the venue and catering accordingly. We kindly ask you not to come without prior registration. Please note that registration may close earlier than the deadline (October 19) if the number of applicants reaches capacity.

Q. Is there a participation fee?
A. Participation in the event is free of charge. However, all other expenses such as travel, accommodation, and transportation to the venue must be borne by the participants.

Q. Will the event be held even if it rains?
A. Yes. The event will be held indoors. However, it may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather or if official warnings are issued. In such cases, we will provide information on the official website.

Q. How can I access the venue?
A. It is about 10-minute walk from the "Toso" tram stop on the Kagoshima City Tram Line2. (Located on the Korimoto Campus.) Access to Kagoshima University

Q. Is there a graduation year restriction?
A. No, there is no restriction based on your graduation year.

Q. Will there be gatherings by faculty or department?
A. No, there will not be separate gatherings by faculty or department.

Q. Can I come by car? Is parking available?
A. There will be no parking available for this event. Please use public transportation. If you choose to come by car, please arrange for a nearby parking lot on your own.

Q. Can I arrive late or leave early?
A.Yes. You may arrive and leave at any time during the event according to your schedule.

Q. Is eating and drinking allowed?
A. Eating and drinking are allowed only on the first floor. The second floor is no food/drink area. Light refreshments and non-alcoholic drinks will be served during social gathering session.

Q. Can I take photos and post them on social media?
A. Yes, you may take photos and post them on social media. However, please make sure to obtain permission from individuals who appear in your photos before posting. Please note that the Secretariat will also take photos during the event. If you prefer not to appear in photos, "No Photography" tags will be available at the reception desk. Please wear the tag in a visible place during the event.

Q. What kind of programs will be offered?
A. The program will include presentations by current students, lectures by alumni, performances by students and volunteers, and social gathering sessions. Please note that the program is subject to change.

Q. Can I participate with my child (preschool age)?
A. Yes, you may bring your child. However, please note that there will be no dedicated kids' space or childcare facilities available. Parent/guardians are responsible for their children's safety at all times.

Q. Is there a prayer room available?
A. No, there will not be a prayer room at the venue.

Q. For online participation, can I keep my camera turned off?
A. Yes. You may choose whether to turn your camera on or off during the online session.

Q. Can I cancel my registration or change my participation method after registering?

Q. Can I check whether my registration has been completed?
A. We do not send immediate confirmation emails upon registration. However, a thank-you email will be sent after October 20. If you do not receive it by October 31, please contact the secretariat.
