【水産】ILP サマーセッションの閉講式が実施されました Closing Ceremony of ILP Summer Session Held

　9月25日に、水産学部（下荒田キャンパス）講義棟23号教室にて、大学院農林水産学研究科「国際連携による熱帯水産学研究科プログラム」（International Linkage Program on Tropical Fisheries、以下ILP）サマーセッションの閉講式が開催されました。今年度は、サムラトランギ大学（インドネシア）、フィリピン大学ビサヤス校（フィリピン）、カセサート大学（タイ）、ニャチャン大学（ベトナム）、ボゴール農科大学（インドネシア）、国立嘉義大学（台湾）から合計7名の留学生が8月中旬に来日し、ILPサマーセッションに参加、40日間の滞在中に座学や実験科目の受講、各指導教員のもとで研究活動に取り組むとともに、日本人学生や職員、鹿児島市民と国際交流を行いました。
　閉講式では、水産学部学部長の西教授がお祝いの挨拶と、留学生への修了証の授与を行い、教育委員長の中村教授が閉会の挨拶を述べました。また、7名の留学生がサマーセッションで学んだこと体験したことを踏まえて、帰国後の意気込みを述べ、ILPプログラムに参加している日本人学生代表者2名による激励の挨拶を英語で述べました。ILPプログラムでは、今度は日本人学生が海外の提携大学へ留学することになっています。

The closing ceremony of the International Linkage Program on Tropical Fisheries (ILP) Summer Session, organized by the Graduate School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, was held in the Faculty of Fisheries at the Shimoarata Campus on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024. This year, seven international students from Sam Ratulangi University (Indonesia), University of the Philippines Visayas (Philippines), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Nha Trang University (Vietnam), IPB University (Indonesia) and National Chiayi University (Taiwan) arrived in Japan in mid-August to participate in the ILP Summer Session.

During their 40-day stay, they engaged in lectures, laboratory work, and research under the guidance of their academic advisors, while also participating in international exchanges with Japanese students, university-staff, and Kagoshima City residents. At the closing ceremony, Professor Nishi, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries, gave congratulatory remarks and presented certificates of participation to the international students, and Professor Nakamura, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Chairperson of the Education Committee, gave the closing address. The seven international students also shared their experiences and what they learned during the Summer Session, along with their aspirations for the future after returning to their home countries. Additionally, two Japanese student representatives who participated in the ILP program delivered words of encouragement in English. In the next phase of the ILP program, Japanese students are scheduled to study abroad at the partner universities.
