【農水研】国際連携による熱帯水産学研究科プログラム（ILP）サマーセッション閉校式を開催

　9月11日、大学院農林水産学研究科では、下荒田キャンパスの鹿児島大学水産学部分館セミナールームにて、「国際連携による熱帯水産学研究科プログラム（International Linkage Programme on Tropical Fisheries：ILP）」サマーセッションの閉講式を開催しました。

　今年度は、フィリピン大学ビサヤス校（フィリピン）から2名の留学生が8月中旬に来日し、ILPサマーセッションに参加しました。約25日間の滞在中、英語による講義や実験科目の受講をするとともに、各教員のもとで研究活動に取り組みました。また、鹿児島をはじめ日本の歴史や文化に触れ、日本人学生や留学生、大学職員、鹿児島市民との国際交流を深めました。

　閉講式では、水産学部の西 隆一郎 学部長がお祝いの挨拶を述べ、留学生2名に修了証を授与しました。その後、石川 学 副学部長が閉会の挨拶を行いました。続いて、2名の留学生がサマーセッションで学んだことや日本でのさまざまな経験を振り返り、帰国後の意気込みを語りました。また、ILPプログラムに参加している日本人学生の代表3名が、留学生への感謝の言葉とともに、今後、提携大学への留学に向けた意気込みを述べました。

　On September 11, the closing ceremony of the Summer Session of the International Linkage Program on Tropical Fisheries (ILP) at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries was held at the Seminar Room of the Kagoshima University Fisheries Branch Library on the Shimoarata Campus.

　 This year, two international students from the University of the Philippines Visayas (the Philippines) arrived in Japan in mid-August to participate in the ILP Summer Session. During their approximately 25-day stay, they attended lectures and practical courses in English, conducted research under the guidance of faculty members, and learned about Japanese history and culture. They also had opportunities for cultural exchange with Japanese students, university staff, and local residents.

 　At the closing ceremony, Professor Nishi, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries, delivered congratulatory remarks and presented certificates of completion to the two students, followed by closing remarks from Professor Ishikawa, Vice Dean. The two students reflected on their experiences during the Summer Session and shared their aspirations for the future. Three Japanese student representatives also expressed their gratitude to the international students and their enthusiasm for studying abroad at partner universities.
